ZY-W-TC1800 Offshore Outer Wind Turbine Coating Machine

Main function and working principle

This machine was devised to finish coating works for the external surface of an Offshore wind turbine tubular tower covering flange diameter ranging from 4.0 meters to 10 meters and a total taper size range within 4 meters. The outer wind turbine coating machine worked with the continuous rotation of the tubular tower; the painting works was finished after one loop rotation by roller under the tower.

Intelligent and reliable

Four explosion-proof servo motors were chosen for this machine, which makes it Intelligent, reliable and high precision. Before work, you just input the target dry film thickness, solid content of the paint material, size of tubular tower. The central control system will analyze and process the data and execute programed actions subsequently on the track. If the tower has a tapering diameter, the machine would adjust the painting parameters accordingly on the track. This machine run with optimum spraying parameters and the final coating quality would be guaranteed.

Easy to use

One equipment operator and one auxiliary worker were required to manipulate this machine. The equipment operator was responsible for setting the work parameters and monitoring the working status. The auxiliary worker was in charge of mixing paint materials and managing the high-pressure pump system.

High efficiency

The machine was equipped with double high pressure airless guns with combination spraying width up to 800 mm which improved the working efficiency greatly. The spraying gun and the paint pump will run without stopping once started. It only takes 15-30 minutes to complete all the painting works for outer surface according to different DFT specification.

Quality assurance

The dry film thickness (DFT) and surface appearance of the coating film were controllable through setting the parameters such as: walking speed, spraying nozzle sizes and distances, thinning ratios or fluid pressure etc. The memory function of the machine will remember all the data you have imputed in. Once the optimal parameters are fixed for a project, it will make the subsequent painting works very easy. It can achieve DFT thickness of 200-300 microns for one layer, The final coating films were uniform and without common defects: sagging, excessive high or low DFT, dry spray, pin holes, orange skin, slags and etc. It met the strict inspection requirements of SSPC SPA2 (90/10 principles) for DFT measurement.

Cost saving

The paint loss factor was 1.4 of the onshore external wind tubular tower coating machine VS 1.8 by manual application according to our experienced test data, which reduced the cost greatly while improving the final coating quality significantly.

Health and environmental protection

The external wind tubular tower coating machine reduced the paint consumption and cut the VOC emission accordingly. It changed the worker's working conditions, safeguard the worker's health and prevent occupational disease hazards occurrence.
